Job Description
We are currently looking for a new team member to join our Legal team, who will help us to achieve goals in energy trading, supply and other renewable energy development projects witch contribute to the development of smart energy products and projects. You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:
- Ensuring comprehensive legal services and providing expert legal support Company and Ignitis Group teams;
- Drafting, negotiating and ensuring that legal documentation conforms with applicable laws, Company interests, Ignitis Group interests, and best international practices (including PPAs, ISDAs, and other bespoke agreements and corporate documents);
- Overseeing all legal topics for the Company, ensuring compliance and alignment with strategic objectives;
- Building, leading, and mentoring a legal team, and overseeing all legal matters within the Company, while encouraging the professional growth of colleagues;
- Managing projects related to legal matters, ensuring timely and effective completion;
- Assisting the business team in finding unconventional legal solutions for various practical legal and business issues, participating in projects implemented by the Group and/or Company, and ensuring effective management of legal matters within these projects;
- Managing legal risks by identifying potential legal issues and providing proactive and innovative, conceptually new solutions to mitigate them and ensures their successful implementation;
- Overseeing the implementation of EU and national policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with best practices;
- Liaising with regulators, management, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Law;
- 7+ years of professional post-qualification experience in-house or in a law firm in respective areas of expertise;
- Comfort to work in cross-cultural teams, collaborating across country boundaries with a sense of diversity and inclusion;
- Outstanding team working skills and the ability to build excellent relationships at senior level;
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills;
- Skilled at evaluating options and finding solutions;
- Excellent professional legal drafting skills;
- Fluency in Polish and English languages (both spoken and written);
- Ability to independently prioritize tasks in a high-demand environment.
