The Senior Legal Support Representative reports to Senior Counsel or Practice Leader within Legal Administration which provides full service corporate secretarial and regulatory support services to a variety of mutual fund complexes including open end and closed end funds.
Responsibilities:
Client Service
- Responsibilities and duties include those of the Legal Support Representative
- Prepare initial drafts of all routine memoranda for board and committee meeting books for Legal Analyst review
- Prepare shell minutes for Legal Analysts and Attorneys
- Obtain and copy handouts and ensure onsite and offsite client board records are complete and accurate
- Prepare, maintain and update minute books and organizational binders
- Assist Legal Analysts and Attorneys with follow up board and committee matters
Control/Risk Management
- Develop more indepth understanding of regulations pertaining to mutual funds and other investment structures
- Assist legal analysts and attorneys in following and developing procedures designed to ensure compliance with applicable regulations
Leadership/People Management
- Form solid working relationships within legal administration and with those areas outside legal administration who provide information or support to legal administration
- Demonstrate solid work ethic and team support by volunteering for tasks and assignments, contributing at staff meetings and maintaining office hours conducive to delivering stellar client service
- Act as resource to others within Legal Administration
Financial Management
- Assist Legal Analysts and Attorneys in controlling costs and improving efficiencies
- Assist Legal Analysts and Attorneys in preparing marketing and sales materials and materials for client and prospect meetings
Technology and Innovation
- Assist Legal Analysts and Attorneys in developing and implementing new technologies to improve client service delivery
Salary Range
MA: $55,000 - 70,000 base salary + annual bonus target
