About Waterplan
Waterplan is a pioneering Series A Y Combinator-backed Climate Tech startup dedicated to accelerating the journey toward a water-secure future. Through our leading B2B Enterprise SaaS platform, we empower companies to understand, respond, report, and monitor their ever-evolving water risk. We help businesses see the tangible benefits of mitigating water risks – fostering a future where organizations are motivated to conserve water and preserve our precious ecosystems.
About the Role
We're looking for a Legal Specialist to join our team in Buenos Aires. You'll be our go-to person for contract review and contract management, and you'll keep our legal and administrative operations organized and running smoothly. Working closely with our Finance and Operations teams, you'll support everything from vendor onboarding to keeping our agreements, invoices and filings in order.
This is a full-time, hands-on role for a lawyer early in their career who wants to grow in-house at a fast-moving startup.
What You'll Do
- Review, draft and help negotiate commercial contracts, NDAs and agreements with customers, partners and vendors.
- Own contract management: keep our contract and agreements repository organized, up to date and easy to search.
- Lead vendor setup processes end-to-end, including reviewing customer and supplier documentation such as terms and conditions, codes of conduct and compliance questionnaires.
- Handle corporate housekeeping: entity and state registrations, filings and compliance records.
- Support Finance with administrative tasks: archiving invoices, contracts and supporting documents, and keeping trackers updated.
- Coordinate contract execution logistics — digital and physical signatures, printing, courier shipments and document delivery across countries.
- Be the point of contact for internal teams on day-to-day legal and administrative questions, flagging risks and escalating when needed.
- Law degree (this is a must)
- 1–3 years of experience in contract review or contract management, ideally in-house at a startup or tech company, or at a Big Four or consulting firm. We value corporate experience over law firm experience.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented — you enjoy keeping things in order.
- Comfortable combining legal work with administrative and operational tasks; no task is too small.
- Proactive and autonomous, with a strong sense of ownership.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
- Experience working with international companies (not only Argentine ones), especially in the US and Europe, is a plus.
Why Join Waterplan
- Impactful Mission: Contribute to a meaningful cause with a clear vision of fostering a water-secure future.
- Dynamic Team: Work alongside a talented and passionate team dedicated to making a difference.
