The Senior Legal Solutions Engineer is the technical and domain expert on Filevine’s Enterprise and Strategic deals — the most sophisticated and highest-value opportunities in our pipeline. You will partner closely with Account Executives to position Filevine’s case management, AI, and contract management solutions to large law firms, insurance carriers, government entities, and corporate legal departments.
Unlike a traditional solutions engineer who joins late in the cycle to run a demo, you will be embedded across the full sales cycle — from early discovery through to close — on Strategic accounts. You will sit in the room (often in person) with sophisticated legal buyers, diagnose how their teams actually work and where time is lost, and translate that understanding into a credible, defensible solution narrative. You will also serve as connective role between sales, product, and marketing, making sure the way Filevine talks about its products in market is grounded in how those products actually work.
This is a senior, accelerated role. You will be given immediate exposure to Enterprise and Strategic deals rather than ramping through the standard SMB-to-Enterprise progression, and you will work directly with sales leadership and executives regularly.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with Account Executives across the full sales cycle on Enterprise and Strategic opportunities — participating actively in discovery, not just demos.
Assist in leading consultative discovery with sophisticated legal buyers: understand their practice, workflows, and operational pain before positioning a solution.
Prepare and deliver compelling, story-driven product demonstrations tailored to each prospect’s practice area and buying committee.
Translate complex product and technical concepts for both legal and technical audiences, and earn credibility with practicing attorneys and firm leadership.
Research and recommend the right combination of solutions from Filevine’s suite — including LOIS — to address each customer’s needs.
Influence the successful closing and win rates of strategic accounts in collaboration with the sales team.
Travel frequently for on-site discovery sessions, demos, and executive meetings (see Travel & Location below).
Partner with internal teams such as sales engineers, sales, marketing, product, etc. to develop accurate talk tracks, demo flows, and use cases for product launches and campaigns — providing real-world, field-tested input that marketing collateral can anchor against.
Support the Sales team — delivering product demos, producing video and live-demo content for partner referral programs, contributing to RFP responses, and representing Filevine at partner conferences and on-sites, etc.
Build and maintain demo environments used for events or sales cycles.
Partner with Product Management and Product Marketing on pre-launch enablement so AEs and SEs share a common anchor narrative before a release hits the market.
Support the development and delivery of internal sales certifications and training programs that keep the field current on Filevine’s rapidly evolving product portfolio.
Qualifications
A mid-level associate from a leading law firm — M&A, litigation, or capital markets — who has stayed close to legal innovation and is ready to move out of billable practice.
A legal operations veteran who came up through BigLaw or has experience with in legal ops, managed services, an ALSP, or a legal-technology incumbent.
An in-house lawyer who has built or co-designed internal tools, automation, or knowledge systems and is comfortable working alongside engineers and product teams.
Demonstrated interest in and fluency with legal technology and AI — ideally evidenced by knowledge-management work, innovation projects, or thought leadership.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to translate between technical product teams, marketing, and customer-facing audiences.
Dynamic storytelling ability with a persuasive, executive-ready presentation style.
A curious, consultative, problem-solving mindset and comfort operating in environments where messaging and product evolve quickly.
We are looking for a senior practitioner who lives at the intersection of legal practice and technology. Candidates may have experience such as the following:

Travel & Location
This role carries a weekly travel expectation. Filevine is currently fielding one to three Enterprise/Strategic on-site requests per week, and this position exists to meet sophisticated buyers where they are — in their offices, at conferences, and at executive meetings. The possibility of weekly travel should be an expectation.
Salt Lake City is the preferred base for close collaboration with sales leadership, executives, and the broader SE team – however, remote work is acceptable for this niche role.

Filevine Compensation & Benefits Highlights
The following summarizes recurring compensation and benefits themes identified from responses generated by popular LLMs to common candidate questions about Filevine and has not been reviewed or approved by Filevine.
-
Healthcare Strength — Health coverage is described as covering the major bases (medical, dental, vision) and is often framed as decent quality. In some cases, premiums and copays are portrayed as relatively favorable, suggesting tangible value from the plans.
-
Parental & Family Support — Paid parental leave is positioned as a standard, clearly offered benefit. The presence of parental leave alongside disability coverage signals baseline family-support provisions typical of growth-stage tech employers.
-
Fair & Transparent Compensation — Compensation is sometimes framed as fair or reasonable relative to role expectations, with technical roles in particular appearing closer to market-aligned ranges. This creates pockets where pay is perceived as competitive even if not consistently top-of-market across the company.
