About the company

Our client is a legal technology company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Work with sales teams as a former lawyer, advising senior professionals on how software fits into their daily practice, running trials and passing customer feedback back to the business. The role suits an experienced attorney who can earn the trust of decision-makers and speak clearly at senior levels.

What you'll do

- Join account executives in meetings with partners and legal innovation leaders at large firms.

- Lead consultative conversations and tailored product demonstrations grounded in everyday legal workflows.

- Develop the rationale for adopting new technology across different legal teams and set up targeted trials.

- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, guiding adoption from initial trial through full rollout.

- Share customer insights with product and sales teams to inform offerings and go-to-market plans.

- Agree on success measures for each trial, covering results, the kinds of legal work involved and how it could scale.

- Help customers adjust their processes and working habits as they expand use of new tools.

- Contribute content and customer success stories with marketing.

- Stay current on AI and legal technology trends and share expertise inside and outside the company.

Requirements

What we're looking for

- Experience at an AmLaw 250 firm, or at a large technology company.

- Prior work as a practising lawyer, associate or in-house counsel in a major practice area, or as a legal engineer.

- Juris Doctor degree; bar admission location does not matter and practice is not required.

- Solid grasp of legal doctrine, how lawyers actually get work done, and professional vocabulary.

- Working knowledge of the local legal market, gained through sustained experience rather than a recent move.

- Lives within roughly 50 miles of the company's New York office.

- Strong executive presence, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport with senior legal stakeholders.

- Available to work in the office at least two days a week and to be in the city up to five days a week for client meetings.

Bonus points

- Prior customer-facing experience in technology, advisory, sales or similar roles.

- Genuine interest in legal AI, such as through an AI or innovation committee or by testing legal tech tools at a firm.

- Base salary: USD 140,000 to 260,000 per year

- Team events and company-wide gatherings
