Job Description

We are currently looking for a Legal Project Manager to join our team for the Liivi offshore wind farm project in Estonia. This role is crucial in ensuring legal oversight, compliance, and contract negotiations of the Liivi site, which will inform the design of a 1-1.5 GW offshore wind farm developed in partnership with Ignitis Renewables and Copenhagen Offshore Partners. You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:

  • Ensuring legal services to offshore wind projects in Estonia
  • Managing external legal teams, specifically in relation to mandatory local law provisions and regulatory matters
  • Multi-contract (multiple packages) for international consultancy services and various component delivery and service agreements pertaining to e.g. harbour, foundations, wind turbine generators, installation, commissioning, and transportation
  • Advising and supporting the relevant business teams and other internal stakeholders in relation to all legal aspects of procurement and construction activities
  • Identifying and assessing legal risks and business compliance associated with the construction of renewable energy projects and making recommendations to mitigate those risks
  • Negotiating the agreements
  • Liaising with regulators, management and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in law
  • 5 years of experience in similar field (Estonian renewables regulatory experience or knowledge would be an advantage)
  • Fluent in English
  • Possess intercultural awareness and experience of working in an international team
  • Skilled at evaluating options and finding solutions
  • Excellent professional legal drafting skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and focus on assisting internal client, i.e., business team
  • Ability to independently prioritize tasks.
