The Position:

Seeking an experienced, highly motivated paralegal to drive our corporate governance and legal operations initiatives.

Key responsibilities:  

  • Supporting and implementing best practices, processes and policies for entity management, corporate governance and legal operations
  • Maintain legal entities and ongoing reporting obligations
  • Support legal operations initiatives, including e-billing software and external counsel billing and administration
  • Assist with corporate filings, including Section 16 filings (Form 4s)
  • Prepare and manage corporate governance processes, including D&O questionnaires
  • Assist with litigation holds and preservation
  • Organize and maintain knowledge management system and data rooms
  • Assist with notarizations, apostilles, legalized documents, certified copies, corporate filings, and other corporate documents as needed

Qualifications: 

  • Paralegal certificate or Associates degree in a related field, such as paralegal studies, business administration or legal studies
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in-house at a US public company as a corporate paralegal
  • Experience with public company governance and SEC and Nasdaq filings and records
  • Ability to problem solve and think creatively
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Strong prioritization skills; ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Proactive self-starter who enjoys learning new processes and technology
  • Knowledge of entity management practices
  • Familiarity with technology solutions for entity management, matter management and e-billing (experience with Diligent and SimpleLegal are a plus)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Teams
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with team members located across various time zones

The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units. Veracyte is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.

Pay range

$97,000-$108,000 USD
