About the RoleWe’re looking for a Legal Operations Manager who thrives on solving problems, building structure from ambiguity, and driving efficiency across legal, compliance, and business processes. This role is ideal for someone who’s sharp, curious, and comfortable wearing many hats — from managing contracts to refining workflows to supporting special projects across the company. You’ll be a core member of the legal and operations team, ensuring that we move fast and stay aligned with our mission to “Do No Harm.”
What You'll Do:
Operational Excellence: Streamline and manage legal workflows, including contracts, NDAs, vendor onboarding, and compliance documentation.
Cross-Functional Partnering: Collaborate with Finance, People, Product, and Security teams to align on policy, governance, and risk management.
Process Design & Automation: Identify inefficiencies and implement scalable tools for document management, contract lifecycle, and approvals.
Metrics & Reporting: Develop dashboards and trackers for contract volume, turnaround times, and key legal KPIs.
Governance & Policy Support: Assist in maintaining compliance frameworks, data protection policies, and governance documentation.
Project Management: Lead or support ad hoc initiatives across the company — from regulatory filings to diligence requests to internal audits.
Outside Counsel Management: Coordinate with external firms, track budgets, and ensure timely invoicing and cost controls.
General Problem-Solving: Jump in wherever needed — whether that’s researching regulations, preparing board materials, or refining templates.
Must Have:
3–7 years of experience in Legal Operations, paralegal work, or a cross-functional operations role (experience in a startup or high-growth environment preferred).
Strong project management skills — able to prioritize, multitask, and drive initiatives to completion.
Familiarity with contract management systems, GRC tools, or workflow automation platforms.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail and ability to operate with discretion and judgment.
A “get it done” mindset — willing to learn, build, and iterate quickly.
A mission-driven team working on ethical, responsible AI for healthcare.
Broad exposure to the intersection of law, tech, and operations.
Room to grow, experiment, and define how Legal Ops works in a next-generation AI company.
Collaborative culture that values transparency, ownership, and respect.
