The Role
Position Summary

The Legal Department is seeking a driven, dedicated team player to support our global legal operations, particularly in technology and financial management.
 

This work requires exercising considerable independent judgment and initiative in ensuring the achievement of legal department objectives, performed under the general supervision of the Director, Legal Operations.

As a Legal Operations Manager with a focus on Technology and Project Management, you will play a critical role in optimizing our legal department's operations through innovative technology solutions and effective project management. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining legal technologies, streamlining processes, managing projects, and ensuring seamless collaboration within the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technology Implementation and Management: Identify, implement, and manage legal technology solutions to enhance efficiency. This includes contract management systems, matter management tools, document automation, and other legal software.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage various legal projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgets. Develop project plans, monitor progress, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
  • Process Optimization: Analyze and streamline legal processes to reduce inefficiencies and improve productivity. Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize data analytics to generate insights and reports that support decision-making within the legal department. Track key performance metrics and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external legal service providers, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with service level agreements.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to legal team members on new and existing technology solutions and tools. Ensure smooth adoption and utilization of systems.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all legal operations are in compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Identify and mitigate risks associated with legal processes and technologies.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in law, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of four years of experience in legal operations, legal project management, or technology implementation within a legal environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in legal technology platforms, database management, project management software, and data analytics tools.
  • Project Management Certification: PMP, Six Sigma, or similar certification is highly desirable.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proven track record of using data to drive decisions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels and across departments.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficient in utilizing Agiloft, Legal Tracker, Diligent, and CPi.
  • Experience in implementing and managing Artificial Intelligence (AI) platforms.
  • Basic SAP Knowledge
