X’s Safety team is responsible for helping our users successfully and safely use our platform. This includes investigating issues that may cause harm to our users or pose risk to X, such as combating spam and fraud, and providing support to our customers. As one of the team’s under the Safety Department of X, the Legal Operations team works to safeguard the user’s voice in balance with manageable risk through policy enforcement that promotes trust in X. Areas of focus include privacy and intellectual property rights, government and law enforcement requests, and user/attorney reports under local law.

What You’ll Do:

X Legal Operations seeks a goal-oriented, focused person to join our team and help keep our legal  operations organized and on track. You will focus on content removal and/or information requests from all around the world.  If you’re detail-oriented, dedicated, analytical, and have a knack for managing multiple tasks efficiently, apply today

  • You will handle global content removal and/or user information requests, including document intake and processing. 

  • You will be responsible for supporting your team in making sure requests are processed and tracked in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.

  • You will help to create global programs and projects that will enable X to meet continuous worldwide social media regulatory obligations and laws.

  • You will work with product, policy, engineering, vendor teams to help develop and enforce new country policies, training curriculum, and quality assurance programs.

  • You will be a subject matter expert in your respective area of focus and may find yourself being one of a few people with the knowledge and experience in your speciality. 

  • You will work closely with Legal Operations team members in the United States, Europe and Singapore on prioritizing requests and ensuring consistency in the team’s operations. 

  • You will continually improve processes for efficiency and consistency.

  • You will join on an on-call rotation, working closely with other members of Legal Operations to provide timely responses to emergency requests from all over the world.

  • You may represent X in witness testimony or other external engagements.

  • You have: 

    • Experience processing requests for content removal, user information, legal documents, or other relevant background experience in law or Safety.

    • A collaborative and optimistic mindset.

    • A willingness to learn, question the status quo, and be comfortable both on a team and independently.

    • Impeccable follow up and communication skills.

  • You are:

    • Capable of spotting anomalies or unusual patterns in requests you handle.

    • Attentive to detail, organized, and able to prioritize tasks in a dynamic work environment even when they are sometimes monotonous.

    • A keen decision maker, self motivated, and a team player.

    • Comfortable with navigating ambiguous policy escalations

  • You can: 

    • Deliver consistent high-quality work.

    • See projects through from start to finish.

    • Feel comfortable working in a space with lots of ambiguity and is brand new.

    • Balance multiple projects and work streams all at once while continuing to deliver on main job duties. 

Qualifications:
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

  • An active X user.

  • Excellent business judgment and strategic thinking; extremely detail-oriented.

  • Specific experience working with content removal requests or user information requests, or legal documents.

  • Exceptional communication and writing skills.

  • Passion and enthusiasm for protecting user privacy and freedom of expression.

  • Perseverance, determination, and grit; a stand out colleague.

  • Ability to work on repetitive tasks.

  • Comfortable working with multinational teams.

  • A bias for execution and impact - you assess your success through your ability to deliver real impact for customers and users rather than just activity; and you execute at pace while meeting quality requirements. 

  • Schedules may include weekend coverage (Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday), and flexible hours. 


Preferred qualifications:

  • 3+ years in a Safety or Legal Operations role at a tech company or as a paralegal, litigation support, or equivalent experience

  • Experience in reviewing, documenting, and tracking legal requests

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education / experience

  • Fluency in one of these languages is essential: 

Bahasa Indonesia, Bengali, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Marathi, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Tamil, Telugu, Thai, Turkish, Urdu

Role involves exposure to sensitive or graphic content including but not limited to vulgar language, violent threats, pornography, and other graphic images.
