   Details:

  • Paid, full-time summer internship 
  • The internship period is June 8, 2026 - August 14, 2026  
  • Must be based in Austin, TX, or willing to relocate for the duration of the internship period
  • Will be required to work in person from the office located in the Domain  

Responsibilities:  

  • Assist in researching and analyzing legal issues related to energy agreements, including capacity agreements, tolling agreements, and energy services/shared savings agreements; 
  • Support the drafting and review of M&A Agreements, such as purchase and sale agreements, asset purchase agreements, and joint venture agreements; 
  • Help prepare and review standard corporate contracts, including development services agreements, consulting agreements, and non-disclosure agreements;  
  • Contribute to the management of real estate agreements, including leases, purchase options, and easements;  
  • Participate in regulatory compliance efforts related to the power and utility sector;  
  • Collaborate with the legal team on project finance and tax equity structures;  
  • Engage in special projects and perform additional duties as required, offering exposure to a broad range of legal tasks; 
  • Other duties as assigned.  

Key Qualifications:   

  • Bachelor’s Degree  
  • Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate from an accredited law school;  
  • Strong academic record with an interest in energy law, corporate law, or related fields;  
  • A strong interest in the renewable energy sector and a passion for decarbonization initiatives;  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;  
  • Ability to work well in a team and adapt to an entrepreneurial environment;  
  • Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision;  
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage tasks efficiently;  
  • A proactive and enthusiastic mindset, with a focus on learning and professional development;
