Role
Blue Owl is looking for a Summer Intern to support the Legal team. We are looking for a dynamic and proactive team player who will work closely with members of the Blue Owl Compliance, Finance, Accounting, Tax, Investor Relations, and Investment Teams. The ideal candidate is a highly detail-oriented and organized individual who can manage multiple projects and who is excited about supporting a Legal team that covers a broad range of issues. We are looking for candidates who are intellectually curious and interested in the intersection of law and finance.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to the day-to-day operations of the Legal department
- Update and manage Blue Owl’s legal entity management system through close collaboration with Finance, Tax, Information Technology, Compliance, Accounting & Operations teams
- Develop and maintain spreadsheets and materials using data from across the organization
- Review and manage a high volume of non-disclosure agreements and client memos
- Develop strong working relationships and partnerships with other teams to support client needs
- Ensure that all Legal team records are stored in secure, organized file systems to support shared knowledge and compliant record-keeping
- Perform special projects and other responsibilities for the Legal team
- Coordinate signatures for documents and various materials
Qualifications
- Targeting first-year law students (1L) at time of application
- Demonstrated drive for results and ability to prioritize risks and projects to focus on what’s important in a fast- paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Excellent planning and organization skills; meticulous attention to detail is a must
- Strong working knowledge of Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Solutions-oriented problem solver
- Strong work ethic and willingness to roll up sleeves to get things done
- Team player with enthusiasm and intellectual curiosity to learn more
This role pays $1,100 weekly during the period of employment.
