POSITION SUMMARY:
This role is a management role with focus on providing support to Legal team in Macau on all legal matters, primarily focused on human resources, operations and regulatory matters.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role reports to Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Macau and will provide support to the Legal team in Macau in, among others, the following areas:
- Assist Human Resources function in all legal matters;
- Operational legal compliance;
- Corporate, compliance and regulatory matters;
- Researching, reviewing and monitoring legal and legislative developments.
OTHER KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
As the needs arise, this role will provide general legal services and support to the relevant internal and external parties, as and when required, and:
- Work closely with other business units;
- Provide general legal advice to various business units in Macau in a wide range of legal matters.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Legal qualifications from Macau and/or Portugal;
- A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience;
- Experience gained from a reputable Macau or Portuguese law firm preferred;
- Keen sense of commercial awareness necessary;
- English language skills is essential;
- Previous in-house experience in legal department is an advantage;
- Chinese language skills is an advantage.
