As a Legal Counsel you will be part of the Corporate Legal department and will report to the Senior Legal Counsel Central South Europe.
Key responsibilities:
You will support the legal team with timely advice on all matters related to legal affairs including but not limited to, contracts, commercial, governance and regulation.
Responsibilities include also:
- Ensuring that the legal documents and other contractual documents are effectively drafted, reviewed, interpreted, and vetted.
- Researching and evaluating different risk factors and offering proactive advice on possible legal issues.
- Maintaining knowledge of laws and provide clarification on legal language
- Supporting Senior Legal Counsel and external resources in the application and update of permits and licenses, complying with relevant local, regional and national laws.
- Assist and, on request, act as liaison with local, regional and national authorities for any matters and clearances related to the construction and operation of the business unit.
- Managing, on request, external legal resources.
- Advising and ensuring the business in compliance with the necessities of legislation involving privacy law and data protection.
We Are Looking For:
- University degree in law
- 3-4 years relevant experience preferably in the port sector, infrastructure of transport and logistic industry
- Solid experience and knowledge in regulatory matters and general corporate and commercial legal issues
- Professional proficiency in English. Italian language at mothertoungue level
- Ability to work independently and a team player with the local team to find creative solutions to complex issues
- Strong written and oral communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to grasp complex areas of law rapidly and accurately.
- Exhibiting sound practical judgment.
- Ability to equilibrate priorities and organize work effectively to meet deadlines.
- Self-starter, hands-on, good communicator (able to explain complex legal issues to non-legal people), empathy, personal tact.
Locations: Vado Ligure.
