THE JOB:
It is the primary responsibility of the Legal Counsel to perform professional legal work in one or more specialized areas of law for MGM Resorts International and subsidiary organizations.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Support the Company’s development and corporate transactional activities by providing strategic and proactive legal counsel in one or more areas of law, including without limitation hospitality, real estate, construction, entertainment, and M&A.

Draft, negotiate, and review a variety of domestic and international agreements relating to the Company’s development efforts, including consulting agreements, technical services agreements, leases, licensing, and management agreements.

Support the Company’s transactional activity, including drafting and negotiating confidentiality agreements, coordinating due diligence efforts, and assisting in drafting and negotiation of letters of intent and other transaction documentation (e.g., purchase and sale agreements and joint venture agreements).

Support the Company’s Hospitality and Entertainment divisions, including in connection with location and appearance agreements, sponsorship agreements, and venue agreements, and assisting with documentation related to more complex special events.

Assist with other commercial matters as needed by attorneys on the legal team.

Collaborate with, and potentially supervise, paralegals and support staff.

Inspire confidence in senior-level business clients by consistently providing sound, practical legal advice and solutions to complex issues in a timely and understandable manner.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

A Juris Doctor (JD) degree with a valid license to practice law.
-
4+ years of relevant legal experience, particularly in areas like hospitality, real estate, construction, entertainment, and mergers & acquisitions.

A strong track record of drafting, negotiating, and reviewing domestic and international agreements such as consulting agreements, leases, licensing, and management agreements.
