Responsibilities

  • Conduct preliminary reviews and provide interpretations of legal documents, focusing on contracts, corporate governance, and compliance issues.
  • Collaborate with external law firms and advisors across various jurisdictions to manage legal processes and disputes efficiently.
  • Maintain and update company legal documents, ensuring a secure and accessible digital storage system.
  • Conduct regular compliance audits and enforce company policies and regulations to ensure legal conformity.
  • Actively participate in contract negotiations, assisting in drafting and reviewing key agreements to protect company interests.
  • Draft and maintain user agreements for dorahacks.io, ensuring they comply with relevant laws and effectively address user interaction and data protection.
  • Oversee the drafting, reviewing, and negotiating of employment agreements and manage legal aspects of employee relations, including terminations and disputes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in law, preferably with a focus on corporate law, commercial law, or related fields.
  • Licensed to practice law, preferably in the jurisdiction where the company operates.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of in-house legal experience in a technology company, or relevant experience in a law firm dealing with corporate clients.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin and English for effective communication. Writing skills in Mandarin are not required but beneficial.

Logistics

  • Recruiter Call: A brief 15-30 minute discussion to go over your background and the role.
  • Test: You may be required to complete an online test or a take-home assignment to assess your skills relevant to the position.
  • Team Interview: A more in-depth session lasting 45-60 minutes with the team you'll be working with, focusing on your technical skills and team fit.
  • Final Interview: A concluding interview of approximately 45 minutes that may involve higher-level management or final decision-makers.
  • All interviews will be conducted via Zoom or Google Meeting, accommodating a fully remote recruitment process to best suit candidates globally.
