Job DescriptionProvide comprehensive legal support across all business areas of the company by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of agreements, including commercial, supplier, and lease contracts. Advise management and business stakeholders on legal, contractual, employment, and operational matters, supporting business objectives while identifying and mitigating legal risks. Partner closely with operations, human resources, studio development, and other business areas to deliver practical, business-oriented legal solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including lease contracts, supplier agreements, NDAs, software licenses, live casino agreements, and data processing agreements.
- Prepare and negotiate agreements using standard templates, including service terms, subcontracts, consultancy and reseller agreements.
- Ensure all agreements comply with Company policies, legal standards, and approved contractual frameworks.
- Manage contract amendments, renewals, and extensions, including tracking key deadlines and negotiation timelines.
- Advise internal stakeholders on legal, commercial, and operational matters, including employment and labor issues, and support negotiations with counterparties.
- Provide clear legal analysis, risks, and recommendations to management to support decision making.
- Prepare legal and contract related KPIs and reporting for management.
- Participate in negotiations and business meetings, providing real time legal support.
- Liaise with external counsel and support litigation, disputes, and court-related matters as required.
- Perform any other legal or ad-hoc duties as required to support the business
- Provide legal support across all business areas of the company, ensuring legal compliance and effective risk management.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial, vendor, real estate, and other business agreements.
- Advise management and business stakeholders on legal, commercial, operational, employment, and regulatory matters.
- Support contract lifecycle management, including renewals, amendments, extensions, and compliance with company policies.
- Identify legal risks and provide practical, business-oriented solutions and recommendations. - Support negotiations with customers, suppliers, business partners, and other third parties.
- Liaise with external counsel and support litigation, disputes, and court-related matters as required.
- Provide legal guidance on employment and labor matters, including workplace policies and employee-related issues.
- Develop and maintain legal documentation, templates, and processes to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Prepare legal reports, KPIs, and updates for management.
- Support strategic business initiatives, operational projects, and studio development activities from a legal perspective.
- Stay informed of relevant legal and regulatory developments affecting the company's operations.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Perform his/her duties in accordance with standards and procedures established by the company
QualificationsRequired work experience
- 5–8 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in-house roles or combining law firm and in-house roles
- Strong experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial and vendor agreements
- Strong experience advising on employment and labor law matters, including employee relations, workplace policies, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Experience providing legal support to multiple business functions, including operations, procurement, human resources, and business development.
- Experience managing contract lifecycles, including renewals, amendments, extensions, and compliance obligations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and senior management.
- Experience supporting dispute resolution, litigation matters, and coordinating with external legal counsel.
Required education, qualification, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB or equivalent)
- Master's degree or Doctor in Laws is considered an asset.
- Solid understanding of commercial law, contract law, and employment/labor law
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
- Fluency in English language written and oral (other language/s an advantage);
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
