About The Role:

  • Collaborate with Product and R&D teams to advise on legal aspects of product development, including AI, saas, technology and professional services and data governance.
  • Identify and counsel on legal risks and provide practical guidance and mitigation strategies for new and existing products, features, and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Draft, negotiate, and manage a variety of commercial agreements, including those related to technology, licensing, marketing and IP agreements.
  • Provide expert legal advice on data privacy matters, working closely with privacy and security teams to maintain robust privacy compliance programs.
  • Scale processes for managing and protecting the company’s intellectual property portfolio, including trademarks, copyrights, patents and design protection.
  • Formulate strategies to prevent and address intellectual property infringements, including monitoring for violations and taking enforcement action where necessary.
  • Support marketing activities by reviewing advertisements and social media content to ensure compliance with IP, privacy, and consumer protection laws.
  • Implement compliance processes for AI in accordance with global legal and regulatory developments.
  • Counsel on issues of data security, open-source licensing, and technology partnerships.
  • Collaborate with various internal stakeholders, including product managers, engineers, and compliance teams, to integrate legal advice into business decisions and product development.

  • Communicate legal issues clearly and effectively to non-legal team members, ensuring alignment between legal requirements and business goals.

Requirements

  • Excellent Legal counsel with 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably as an in-house product counsel at a technology company.
  • Deep understanding of global privacy, IP, marketing and AI regulations and experience in understanding implications and advising on issues relating these fields in a technology context.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS products, AI technologies, and the regulatory landscape affecting technology companies.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex legal concepts in a simple and effective way to non-legal audiences.
  • A collaborative, proactive mindset with a passion for technology.
  • Ownership mentality with a can-do attitude.
  • Strong legal and business judgment, exceptional attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Highly motivated with outstanding communication, interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, and ability to collaborate across functions.

  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
