You will assist in a range of legal tasks, primarily supporting the Legal Manager with projects and tasks of the Legal department. The role focuses on assisting with contract reviews, legal research, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone starting their legal career and seeking exposure to a broad range of commercial in-house legal matters in a fast-paced tech environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Contract Support: Contributes to reviewing a broad range of agreements, such as non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), customer agreements and vendor agreements under the guidance of the Senior Legal Counsel.
  • Legal Research: Conduct legal research on various issues, including commercial law, data privacy regulations, and employment law, and summarize findings for the Senior Legal Counsel.
  • Legal operations: Help prepare legal documents and correspondence, including letters, agreements, policies, notices, internal playbooks and training.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Support the Legal team in ensuring the company complies with relevant regulations, including helping with documentation for data privacy and corporate governance.
  • Internal Collaboration: Under the direction of the Legal Manager, provide support to different departments (sales, HR, operations) on legal matters.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), or Juris Doctor (J.D.), or an equivalent law degree, with eligibility to practice law in your location. .
  • 1-3 years of experience in commercial or corporate practice, or recent graduates with relevant internship experience in corporate or commercial law.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • A solid  understanding of contract law principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Great communication skills, both in written and spoken, in English and French.

What would make you stand out:

  • Prior in-house experience within the SaaS industry, ideally advising internal stakeholders on contractual documents.
  • Ability to adopt a risk-based approach and provide pragmatic, solution-oriented advice.
