Description:
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Legal, Compliance & Public Affairs (LCPA) team at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in Mexico City. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
The Legal & Compliance Lawyer will provide legal & compliance services for various legal entities. Support within a variety of legal related areas, such as research, document preparation, contract review and correspondence. Coordinate delivery and preparation of legal documents with public notary and external lawyers. The ideal candidate must be a lawyer with over 5 years of experience in corporate matters related to shareholder meetings and board of directors. Experience in drafting and reviewing contracts as well as providing the corresponding legal advice. Also will be managing: labor matters, possible E&Os, investigations, trainings, monitoring, data incidents; corporate governance (shareholder meetings, powers of attorney, corporate book, etc.); regulatory advice such as registry of investments of Ministry of Economy; execution of different agreements for all lines of business (Facilities, HR, vendors, among others).
We will count on you to:
- Handle assigned legal or compliance matters and projects such as non-disclosure agreements, engagement letters, services agreements, document review, legal research and basic contract drafting and review.
- Assist senior lawyers on more complex issues as well as with the development of templates.
- May also handle assigned Compliance matters and projects such as licensing, monitoring, research, data compilation and synthesis, reporting, and task management.
- Work on assigned specialty area, region or line of business.
What you need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree required: law degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of prior compliance and/or legal experience.
- In-house corporate experience strongly preferred.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
