About the RoleBlackRock is seeking a lawyer to join its Legal Insights team, a specialist private markets legal intelligence function focused on fund terms, governance, fees, benchmarking, legal data and market insights.
This is a unique opportunity to apply private funds legal expertise beyond traditional legal practice, working at the intersection of law, data, product innovation and commercial strategy.
What You'll Do- Analyse LPAs, side letters, management agreements and other private markets documentation.
- Assess fee structures, carried interest, investor rights and governance provisions.
- Convert complex legal drafting into proprietary legal intelligence and benchmarking data.
- Support FAIR fee validation and Term Intelligence benchmarking.
- Contribute to legal data, AI-enabled extraction and thought leadership initiatives.
- Create insights that support client outcomes, product development and commercial growth.
- Qualified lawyer with private funds, investment funds or asset management experience.
- Strong knowledge of private equity, private credit, infrastructure, real estate or hedge funds.
- Experience analysing complex fund documentation and applying legal judgement.
- Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
You'll be joining a highly specialised team that:

- Contributes to client findings generating millions of dollars in client value.
- Produces market-leading thought leadership and private markets insights.
