THE POSITION
The Legal Assistant will be under the guidance of FWWC 2027 the Head of Legal FWWC 2027 and will provide general legal support for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™ legal team in Brazil.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare, review and compile PowerPoint presentations and internal documents.
- Maintain and update legal trackers and databases, including regular updates on Wetrack tool.
- Provide translation and proof reading of legal and operational documents.
- Assist with document execution processes, including verification of powers and coordination of signatures.
- Support the preparation of egal documents and templates.
- Assist the legal team in monitoring deadlines and follow-ups related to contracts and legal matters.
- Support internal and external audits by organizing and compiling requested documentation.
- Assist in monitoring relevant legislative changes.
- Demonstrate a team-based approach to achieving the best outcomes for FWWC 2027 in accordance with FIFA’s values.
- Support interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure that assigned tasks are delivered with a high level of accuracy, timeliness and attention to detail.
YOUR PROFILE
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Laws
- Qualified to practice law in Brazil
- Fluency in English
Experience:
- 1 - 2 years of experience in a law firm or legal department, including experience gained through internships or trainee positions.
- Prior experience in a reputable law firm is considered an advantage.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Other knowledge and skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Teams).
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
- Skilled in problem solving, solution-oriented and pragmatic mindset.
- Team player with the ability to build effective relationships internally and externally.
- Empathetic, collaborative and patient, with a positive and proactive attitude.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Experience with sporting or events organisations or commercial rights holders/sponsorship is considered an advantage.
- Strong identification with the FIFA World Cup and its potential positive impact on the Host Country.
- Passion for football is a plus.
