You will help drive privacy excellence through operational support, project management, and leading cross-functional initiatives across Ford’s Data & Privacy legal team. The role will assist a team of lawyers helping Ford deliver great products and services, drive best-in-class digital experiences, and champion customer trust.
ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll do...
- Manage global legal projects in collaboration with team of privacy lawyers and other professionals from launch to conclusion.
- Drive strategic efficiency and modernization of data and privacy legal operations by leading technology, automation, artificial intelligence tools, and process improvements that transform how the data and privacy legal team works.
- Advise on knowledge management, partnering with our team to ensure deliverables and legal resources are consistently stored appropriately in an accessible manner.
- Support client and team meetings, preparing agendas, PowerPoints, and other content for attorneys, documenting action items or important decisions, and advancing strategic initiatives alongside clients and business partners
- Conduct research, prepare documents, and deliver presentations for attorneys or other stakeholders on operations, privacy issues, or other data-related topics.
You'll have...
- 7-10 years or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience, including experience in data privacy, artificial intelligence, compliance, or legal operations.
- Proven ability to lead and manage complex, cross-functional legal and operational initiatives including working with stakeholders to establish milestones and delivering projects in a timely manner.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of an organization.
- Track record of driving "strategic efficiency." Experience identifying, implementing, and managing legal technology and building structures, systems, and workflows (e.g., workflow automation tools, large language models, or other AI-driven tools) to modernize legal workflows and make teams more efficient.
- Comfortable learning new tools and technologies quickly, and a fundamental knowledge of AI including the abilities of Large Language Models and other AI tools to support legal work.
- Ability to synthesize complex legal discussions into actionable meeting minutes, executive summaries, action items, and memos for leaders and business partners.
- Strong legal research skills (using LexisNexis, Westlaw, or regulatory databases) with the ability to distill findings into concise, business-friendly materials. Exceptional judgment in handling sensitive matters and information while maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards.

This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $86,600-$144,900.
This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $99,100-$166,200.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
