JOB PURPOSE
Provide pre-litigation support by assisting with case intake, investigation, and preparation for potential settlement or litigation. Maintain accurate case files, track deadlines, and coordinate with attorneys, clients, and third parties to ensure timely and efficient case progression.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with new case intake, including gathering client information and opening case files.
Collect, review, and organize medical records, bills, and other supporting documentation.
Communicate with clients, providers, and insurance companies to obtain records and updates.
Track treatment progress and maintain accurate case notes in case management software.
Prepare demand packages and assist with settlement negotiations as directed by attorneys.
Monitor deadlines for statutes of limitations and other pre-litigation requirements.
Coordinate with experts, providers, and other parties to support case evaluation.
Ensure all case documentation is complete and organized for potential transition to litigation.
Perform general office administrative tasks, including scheduling and supply management.
QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience
No related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; or
Equivalent combination of professional experience, education, or certification.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Basic understanding of personal injury claims and pre-litigation processes (e.g., intake, medical record collection, demand preparation).
Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
High attention to detail and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and team members.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Familiarity with case management software and document organization tools.
Experience in personal injury pre-litigation case handling, including medical record collection and demand drafting.
Customer service or administrative experience (phones/front desk).
