About the role

We are on the lookout for a Legal Assistant to join our passionate and collaborative Personal Injuries team in Toowoomba. This is a full-time permanent role.

As a Legal Assistant, you will provide pivotal legal administration support working closely with a specialised Lawyer.

What will your day look like

  • Liaising with clients (both internal and external)
  • Preparing, filing and serving of court documents and briefs
  • Copying, filing and preparing client and third-party correspondence
  • File and diary management
  • Opening and sorting of all incoming mail
  • Preparing bills for clients
  • Answering and managing all incoming inquiries and assist or transfer calls where appropriate
  • Opening new matters

The experience we are looking for

You will have a passion and drive to get the very best for our clients with a strong background in administration ideally gained within the legal industry. Your strong service focus with the ability to handle sensitive matters professionally and with empathy will see you make this role your own.  In addition, you will have:

  • Experience in a Legal Assistant or high-level Administration position
  • Knowledge of/or experience in an industry associated with road, work and/or personal injuries will be advantageous
  • High attention to detail with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Agility and openness to change including the use of AI and new Legal Services Platform
  • Strong ability to prioritise, cope with a fast-changing environment and possess excellent organisational skills
