We are seeking a Legal Assistant with 3-5 years of legal experience to work with in a construction law firm.
Not a remote position
Responsibilities:
- Draft legal court documents, such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, discovery responses and subpoenas.
- Send out correspondence to parties/non-parties.
- Schedule depositions, pre-deposition meetings, meditations, and hearings.
- E-file legal documents in Florida’s E-Portal System.
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials.
- Prepare Trial Notebooks and Exhibit Lists.
- Complete trial logistic tasks.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years' experience as a legal assistant/legal secretary with a senior partner
- Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, a team player, and a great multitasker
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledgeable with computer programs: Dropbox, Word, Excel & Outlook
Schedule: 8 hour shift: 9AM - 5:30PM
Salary: $60,000.00 ++ per year
