The Opportunity

Ready to bring your organisational superpowers to a fast-paced, high-performing legal team? We’re looking for an enthusiastic, polished, and professional Legal Assistant to join our Digital Legal Delivery team in Melbourne.

🏡 Flexibility: Work from home 1–2 days per week (depending on team and partner needs)

You’ll be the go-to person supporting Partner Emily Coghlan and other senior members of the Digital team. If you enjoy taking ownership, being the central point of support, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy legal environment, this role is made for you!

What your day might look like

  • Schedule and coordinate meetings and manage changes proactively.

  • Organise domestic and international travel and reconcile expenses promptly.

  • Draft, format and manage legal documents using Microsoft Office and iManage.

  • Open, maintain and close matters, ensuring accurate time entries and billing.

  • Act as the first point of contact for client queries and support strong client relationships.

  • Assist with business development initiatives and client events.

  • Coordinate team social events and activities to support team engagement and culture.

  • Collaborate with Legal Assistants across practice groups on joint matters.

  • Mentor and guide Administrative Assistants to support team efficiency.

  • Champion technology and AI adoption to improve processes and stay innovative.

  • Maintain compliance with firm policies, including file management and risk protocols.
