Job Description
The Office of Legal Obligations is seeking an Analyst with business analysis and operations experience to execute activities for one or more strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work autonomously, think critically, and has a constant drive to improve processes.
As an Analyst in the Office of Legal Obligations (OLO), you will conduct daily activities that are required to support our attorneys in maintaining an accurate obligations inventory. Additionally, you will be required to facilitate ad hoc projects, support transformational efforts focused on process improvement, and conduct data analysis activities. You will be required to work with cross-functional teams and will effectively partner with all levels of management to optimize and simplify our daily processes. Job Responsibilities:
- Execute daily operational and production support activities to support the program.
- Work with stakeholders across the Legal Department, lines of business, and corporate functions to support the program.
- Create presentations, reporting, interpret results, and convey in a concise, straightforward, and professional manner for all levels of operational staff from supervisors to senior level management.
- Evaluate as-is processes, identify gaps, risks, process improvements and recommend solutions that enhances stakeholder experience and streamlines the process.
- Apply analytical / quantitative approaches to problem solving utilizing a wide range of analytical tools, synthesize insights, and support the development of innovative strategic solutions.
- Lead tasks/projects from end-to-end to identify all potential problems and how to solve for them. Articulate issues and risks to management. Provide support to department to ensure timely completion.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- 1-3 years of experience working in a corporate environment
- Hands-on experience and/or familiarity with at least two of the following:
- Data Visualization Tools ( e.g. , - Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik)
- Advanced excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, advanced conditional formatting, Analysis ToolPak, macros/VBA)
- Microsoft SharePoint
- Alteryx
- Pega
- Skilled at problem solving, ability to scope and provide structure to complex issues, rapidly learn unfamiliar processes, and provide insightful and timely remediation.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear and succinct updates on their work to team members, colleagues, senior leads, executives, and clients.
- Self-starter with ability to work with minimum supervision of day-to-day activities.
- Ability to drive process improvement, optimization, and/or simplification efforts.
- Ability to liaise effectively between lines of business with empathy and understanding to achieve the common and strategic goal as a team.
