Akerman is seeking an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant to support attorneys in its Tax Practice Group in the Atlanta office. This is a hybrid position, requiring a minimum of three days per week onsite.
The ideal candidate brings five or more years of law firm experience, preferably supporting tax and/or litigation practices. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys
- Prepare, revise, and format legal documents
- Maintain electronic and physical filing systems
- Assist with timekeeping and submitting expense reimbursements
- Provide backup support to other administrative staff as needed
Qualifications
- Five or more years of legal administrative experience in a law firm setting
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Demonstrated Tax law practice experience
- Working knowledge of the Georgia Rules of Civil Procedure and state and federal e‑filing requirements
Experience with iManage, 3E, Intapp, and Chrome River/Emburse is a plus.
Candidates must be flexible and willing to work extended hours as needed to meet client and firm deadlines.
