Job Description:
The Legal Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the Chief Legal Officer and Legal Department.
Some things you can expect to do:
Prepare/edit documents.
Prepare correspondence and transmittal packages, often of a confidential nature.
Maintain project budgets in Excel.
Process billing.
Provide various administrative responsibilities; arrange meetings and appointments, open mail, answer routine correspondence and edit draft correspondence.
Answer, screen, direct and place phone calls.
Filing, retrieval and maintenance of project and general files.
Provide administrative support to other Legal Department staff, as needed.
Provide periodic back-up to corporate receptionist.
Special projects as required.
Candidate Requirements:
3 - 5 years previous administrative experience.
Familiarity with real estate terminology and procedures preferred.
Advanced skills in Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), Adobe Professional, electronic billing, web-based meeting/hosting and document management systems.
Typing speed of 55 wpm, with high degree of accuracy.
Superior organizational skills
Must be a self-starter; able to work independently; desire to learn; able to think critically and be proactive
Able to manage and organize legal documents
Ability to create and work within a defined schedule
Strong problem-solving skills
Eligibility:
Positions require verification of employment eligibility to work in the U.S.
Compensation:
The base pay range is $ $29.14 - $36.40/hour. The salary may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program.
