Job Description SummaryAs a GE Aerospace Controls Integrator, you will play a pivotal role in defining and executing comprehensive program strategies, leading the technical development of programs, and ensuring rigorous control systems and technical excellence.
Your responsibilities will include scoping FADEC software projects, ensuring excellence in DEQ/tollgate processes, and developing and enhancing tools to support program objectives. You will be responsible for designing and executing control software validation, creating, and updating formal discipline documentation, and supporting integration and certification testing efforts. Additionally, you will lead field and manufacturing investigations, provide high-level engineering support to customers, and ensure productivity and efficiency in software delivery processes.
You will own and manage the certification plan for software projects, leverage lessons learned to improve processes and outcomes, and ensure the execution of key performance indicators and True North metrics. Collaboration with sister disciplines to create synergy, defining and tracking operational metrics as a focal point for project management, and planning and tracking resources to ensure project milestones are met are also key aspects of this role. Furthermore, you will mentor and develop technical talent within the team and coordinate efforts with other disciplines such as electrical systems and performance engineering.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will develop and monitor a business and technology strategy, and plan, execute, track, and continuously improve a commercial aviation engine program from a FADEC software standpoint. Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:

Contribute with SSMs in defining, developing, communicating, executing, and tracking program strategy, goals, milestones, and metrics.

Strategically define program FADEC SW requirements, scope, schedules, and cost. Lead the requirements management and negotiation with internal and external customers. Define, negotiate, and validate requirements with suppliers. Contribute to program's budget monitoring; communicate and drive mitigation actions when needed.

Lead program’s technical proficiency and growth.

Drive program’s EEC SW and field / manufacturing investigations DEQ and tollgates processes on time execution.

Gatekeep aviation engineering standards and procedures application

Plan EEC SW and tools development, validation, and verification. Monitor progress and negotiate mitigation proposals when needed.

Plan, execute and review design assurance, integration, and certification testing. Coordinate and monitor EEC SW validation platforms and support troubleshooting. Perform Change Impact Analysis. Create and update simulation model artifacts.

Support engine / flight test and lead field / manufacturing issues investigations. Monitor progress of engine / flight test support and negotiate mitigation proposals when needed. Bring up to date on business needs; identify and drive opportunities for field / manufacturing and digital tools solutions. Strategically exploit data lake resources (CEOD, SPT, PFR, ATD, DSO)

Monitor EEC SW development, customer support, and manufacturing / field issues resolution processes efficiency. Provide engineering support to customers (assess customer data to provide strong technical and business recommendations)

Periodically assess EEC SW development, validation, and verification productivity (including validation platforms from desktop simulation to aircraft-engine integration testing support). Lead continuous improvement projects to maintain, troubleshoot and/or improve productivity and efficiency.

Own the Certification Plan, driving its process throughout the EEC SW development lifecycle. Substantiate and support certification methods for SW changes before agencies and ODA.

Lead retrospective analysis reviews for SW development and implement improvement actions. Design, update, and implement process documentation based on Lessons Learned. Drive and monitor technology leverage among discipline.

Identify, design, and implement Continuous Improvement solutions to issues on Key Performance Indicators (SQDC)

Identify and drive synergy opportunities with other aviation teams, aligned to program’s needs and focusing on all Controls and Accessories disciplines’ needs.

Lead EEC SW operation budgets strategical planning and execution. Monitor operational budget and coordinate with Program Manager as main focal point to SW solutions.

Support and coordinate with upper management, sourcing and talent acquisition on resources needs, including extended team needs.

Contribute to Annual Technical Talent and Discipline Reviews with program’s technological and business needs, threats, and opportunities.

Continuously assess Safety and Compliance potential risks and look over mitigating them.

Periodically contribute to team members performance assessment and feedback

Coach and mentor others in the analysis, design, test and/or integration related to assigned components, assemblies or process systems that meet business standards, practices, and procedures, and meet the product/program requirements.

Co-lead FADEC and aircraft-to-engine electrical interfaces definition, validation, documentation, and certification, negotiating with joint venture shareholders and suppliers.

Utilize LEAN/Flight Deck principles to improve current business products and processes.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Control Systems or equivalent

Solid contribution in a similar role or previous position.

Effective written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish

English skills: Must be able to maintain a normal day-to-day fluid conversation in English on any topic with few mistakes (mistakes that do not affect clear understanding). Proven experience with electrical interfaces and aircraft communications.

7+ years of experience in EEC Control Systems SW development process.
