SUMMARY:
Administers the Bank's leave management plans. Administers day‑to‑day leave‑of‑absence processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely communication with employees and leaders. Completes People & Culture administrative duties as assigned. Works in a highly confidential manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Processes employee leave requests (FMLA, ADA, personal, unpaid, Worker’s Compensation, medical, maternity, military, etc.).
Completes long-term disability (LTD) paperwork, if applicable.
Communicates leave approvals, denials, return‑to‑work dates, and next steps to employees and managers.
Maintains accurate leave records and updates spreadsheets.
Receive accommodation requests, maintain confidential records, evaluating medical documentation, identifying reasonable accommodations, and communicating with employees and managers.
Maintains records on the status, types, and costs of accommodation requests.
Completes mass mailings for open enrollment and other important disclosures to employees on leave of absence.
Ensures documentation is complete and compliant with policy and regulatory requirements.
Tracks leave timelines and follow up on certification and recertification requests.
Coordinates with payroll and benefits to ensure pay, benefit deductions, and time‑tracking are correct while on leave. Confirms accrual adjustments are needed.
Educates employees on leave policies and processes.
Maintains a current knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements impacting the Human Resource Department. Laws include FMLA, ADA, and related regulations.
Completes administrative duties for the People and Culture Center of Excellence (COE) as assigned.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the bank’s policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing. You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner.

Minimum of one year of office experience required.
Professional experience in leave administration preferred
Requires Certified Leave Management Specialist (CLMS) certification or equivalent, or willingness to obtain certification within 24 months of hire.
