Department

You will be part of the Arakkonam Manufacturing Team, who ensures designing, developing, and delivering comprehensive training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of blue collar/ Contingent / Trainees in these critical manufacturing processes. This role involves creating comprehensive training materials, conducting hands-on training sessions, and ensuring that all blue collar/ Contingent / Trainees.

Role

Training Program Development:

  • Design and develop training materials, including manuals, presentations, and hands-on exercises, for Foundry, Welding, Painting, and Assembly processes.
  • Design and implement training programs that address both technical skills and safety procedures.
  • Continuously update training content to reflect industry best practices, technological advancements, and regulatory changes.

Coordinate Training Sessions:

  • Facilitate effective training sessions to Blue collar/ Contingent / Trainees at various skill levels.
  • Utilize a variety of training methods, including hands-on demonstrations, simulations, and e-learning tools.
  • Assess and adapt training techniques to meet the diverse needs of trainees.

Performance Assessment:

  • Develop and administer assessments to evaluate trainee understanding and proficiency.
  • Evaluate trainee performance through assessments, tests, and practical exercises
  • Provide feedback and support to Blue collar/ Contingent / Trainees to help them improve their skills and knowledge and their supervisors.

Safety  & Compliance:

  • Ensure that all training incorporates and reinforces safety procedures and best practices.
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to safety regulations and protocols during training sessions.
  • Ensure all training programs emphasize safety protocols and compliance with OSHA standards and other relevant regulations.
  • Conduct safety drills inline with FLS safety department and ensure trainees are knowledgeable about emergency procedures.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Collect feedback from trainees and supervisors to continually improve training programs and materials.
  • Analyse training effectiveness and make recommendations for enhancements.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and assessment results.
  • Prepare and present reports on training progress and outcomes to management.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other departments to identify training needs and align programs with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and industry professionals to enhance training content.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. 

Education Qualification

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in management.  

Experience

Minimum of 5+ years of experience in any industry in training or teaching technical subjects & instructional role is advantageous is highly desirable
