Designed to be an immersive and collaborative experience, the Global Leadership and Learning Institute offers Cleveland Clinic the tools and the connections caregivers need to find success and develop their own career paths. As Learning Experience Designer, you will help create instructional content for all deliverables, working with SMEs to gather information and organize it into clear, engaging learning experiences suited to the audience’s culture and expertise. The role involves planning, analyzing, and designing instructor-led and technology-enabled learning solutions to support strategic business goals and improve performance, engagement, and development. This position also collaborates with Learning Partners and Organizational Design Consultants to design activities, update materials, and identify new ways to engage learners.

A caregiver in this position works a hybrid schedule from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with 1-2 days at the Administrative Beachwood Campus.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Partner with Global Leadership & Learning Institute colleagues and stakeholders to design, deploy, measure, sustain and scale learning experiences aligned with business objectives.
- Work with Learning Partners and other key stakeholders to refine the organizational capabilities and talent requirements necessary to achieve business outcomes and leverage information to develop and execute CC's strategies, programs and learning solutions.
- Design and develop informal and formal learning experience solutions using a variety of methods.
- Conduct a needs assessment to identify an appropriate learning approach.
- Design a learning experience that integrates technology options and / or an integrated learning journey solution.
- Influence all phases of a project, from initial discovery phase, rapid prototyping, evidence-based learning, and concept refinement to rigorous learner testing and production oversight.
- Develop appropriate learning assets and instructional materials in a manner that is relevant, meaningful, engaging and effective for defined audiences.
- Establish credibility as a learning experience designer and facilitator that creates a positive learning climate to encourage participation, collaboration and learner motivation.
- Communicate leadership development program/service metrics that inform and support stakeholders and key members of the Global Leadership and Learning Institute team.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Educational Pedagogy, Neuroscience, Learning Design and / or related degree
- Experience designing and developing blended learning including, Web-Based Training, Instructor-Led Training and virtual training
- Experience working with multimedia and graphic design professionals during the course development process
- Proficiency in working with numerous eLearning authoring tools
- High proficiency in computer skills (including MS Office) and data analytics measuring impact
- Three years of progressively responsible experience in Organizational Learning and Learning Experience Design in a large, global, complex and continuously changing corporate or healthcare environment performing as a Learning Experience Designer for formal instructor-led and hybrid eLearning modalities, including two years of experience developing educational/learning design for adult learners
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Advanced certification as a Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD)
- Master of Science in Educational Technology or eLearning
- Graphic design experience
Physical Requirements:
- Requires frequent computer work, sitting, standing and walking.
- Requires ability to travel to enterprise locations in Northeast Ohio; Florida, Canada, and globally to Abu Dubai, London, UK and/or other global locations.
- Requires normal or corrected vision, hearing and speech.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment, as required.
