Learning & Development Specialist

Spring Venture Group (SVG) is looking for a Learning and Development Specialist with experience in   delivering and monitoring learning programs for the development of Leaders at all levels. Responsibilities include working with the Learning and Development team, Human Resources, and stakeholders to  deliver training, and monitor feedback for ongoing improvement. This role will report directly to the Manager of Learning and Development and is based in Kansas City and we offer a hybrid working environment.

• This role is a hybrid role out of our downtown Kansas City headquarters and we are not able to sponsor for this role.

Design:

• Contributes to new training program design and existing program enhancements. 
• Assists in the development and creation of lesson plans and training aids.

Deliver:

• Actively engage in self-study and collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to rapidly gain proficiency in the content and subject matter you will be facilitating.
• Set up and manage logistics for training sessions, ensuring all materials, technology (e.g., virtual platforms, projectors), and resources are prepared and functional.
• Lead and facilitate engaging virtual, blended and live learning experiences for individual contributors and people leaders.
• Create a participatory and inclusive learning environment, encouraging active engagement and knowledge retention.

Monitor:

• Monitors the effectiveness of training on employees using individual or group performance results. 
• Collects feedback on sessions from attendees to use for future improvements to content and presentation.
• Regularly conduct evaluations and assessments to measure the impact and effectiveness of learning programs, using data-driven insights to make data-backed decisions.
• Observe senior L&D professionals and actively seek feedback to continuously enhance your facilitation and development skills.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree or certifications in instructional design or related areas are a plus.
• Situational Leadership Certified is a plus!
• 1 to 3 years of proven experience in facilitation and program management.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with diverse audiences.
