- Develop training materials to support both routine and new training programs, while continuously improving the onboarding experience for new hires.
- Create supplementary resources for Import 101.
- Support our internal Learning Management System by assigning learning materials to new hires and tracking their progress.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and connect with various experts regarding instruction and scheduling.
- Work alongside the L&D Specialist to design comprehensive learning paths.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to all newly hired Import Specialists.
- Stay informed about operational regulations and processes.
- Provide feedback based on outcomes of training, while ensuring the hiring manager is updated on progress.
- Coordinate onboarding sessions, additional training with subject matter experts (SMEs), and individual meetings with both the manager and the new hire.
- Evaluate training effectiveness by monitoring feedback surveys and analyzing performance and retention metrics to ensure all needs are addressed.
- Create a series of interactive modules within the LMS that incorporate multimedia elements such as videos, quizzes, and case studies to accommodate various learning styles.
- Schedule regular updates and revisions to the learning paths to align with industry trends and organizational goals.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning by collaborating with the L&D Team and Engagement Specialist to promote the learning paths through internal communications and showcasing success stories from team members who have completed the training.
Education/Experience A minimum of two years in a brokerage-related role, preferably at Deringer. Proven record of helping to train/onboard new colleagues and understanding of the organization’s structure regarding lines of business and ports. An understanding of adult learning principles is highly preferred. A high school diploma is required; certifications/licenses and a demonstration of continuing education is preferred.
