The Role

  • Location: Limassol, Cyprus
  • Reporting Line: Chief People Officer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a company-wide learning and development strategy in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Identify skill gaps and create programs to bridge them, supporting both individual and team growth.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and recommend best practices for learning and development.
  • Design and deliver a mix of in-person and digital learning solutions, including workshops, e-learning modules, and on-the-job training.
  • Create tailored leadership development programs to enhance managerial and leadership capabilities.
  • Enhance onboarding programs to ensure new employees integrate seamlessly into the organization, understand their roles, and feel connected to the company’s culture and values from day one.
  • Collaborate with department heads to set individual development plans (IDPs) and career pathways for employees.
  • Support managers in providing consistent and constructive feedback to their teams.
  • Measure the impact of learning programs through surveys, feedback, and performance metrics.
  • Prepare and present reports on training outcomes, employee progress, and ROI of L&D initiatives.
  • Leverage learning management systems (LMS) to track participation, progress, and completion rates.
  • Explore and implement cutting-edge L&D technologies to enhance learning experiences.
  • Promote a culture of learning by organizing events, mentorship programs, and peer learning sessions.
  • Oversee the L&D budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while achieving maximum impact.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in learning and development, HR, or a related field
  • Experience in fast-paced industries (e.g., payments, fintech) is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Data-driven approach to measuring the effectiveness of learning programs
  • Proficiency in using LMS and other learning technologies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Education, or a related field
  • Certifications in L&D or related areas (e.g., CIPD, SHRM, ATD) are a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to build or significantly scale L&D frameworks from scratch, with a proven track record of shaping new initiatives
  • Resilience, resourcefulness, and a solution-oriented mindset—crucial for driving HR transformation and establishing robust programs in a dynamic environment

Hiring Process

1. Interview with our Head of Talent Acquisition (40 minutes) - An initial videocall to discuss your background, career goals, and overall fit for the role.

2. Face-to-Face Interview with the Chief People Officer - A visit to our office, where you’ll learn more about the position, our company culture, and how we can thrive together.

3. Finalist Discussion with the CPO If you’re among the finalists, you’ll be invited for an additional talk focusing on some of the ongoing challenges at payabl. and how you could help address them.
