Summary/Objective
The Learning & Development Coordinator identifies, develops, and delivers training that supports organizational priorities, compliance, and employee growth.
Essential Functions
- Design, develop, and maintain organizational training curriculum aligned with operational needs, compliance requirements, and staff development goals.
- Facilitate organizational training programs, including but not limited to MANDT, Mental Health First Aid, and CPR/First Aid.
- Leverage the organization’s learning management system to build, assign, monitor, and report on training completion and effectiveness.
- Travel as needed to deliver in-person training and support learning initiatives across organizational locations.
- Support the development, implementation, and ongoing coordination of the organization’s career pathways program.
- Ensure all training activities are accurately tracked, documented, and uploaded into VOANR’s learning management system in a timely manner.
- Track training data and information to monitor training progress and identify any trends in training retention and comprehension.
- Act as a backup to the front desk as needed.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but may serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the organization.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
Travel is required for this position.
Required Education, Experience, or Eligibility Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or 2 years of equivalent experience
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Must either be certified as a trainer or be able to obtain and maintain valid certifications as a trainer for Mental Health First Aid, MANDT
- If not certified as a trainer, certification needs to be obtained within:
- 6 months of hiring for:
- Mental Health First Aid
- MANDT
- 6 months of hiring for:

Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field
- Two years of experience in the non–profit sector
- One to two years of program management experience in the non-profit sector

QualificationsSkills Required
