Learning & Development Consultant – 6 Month Secondment
Are you an experienced Traffic Dispatcher with a passion for sharing knowledge and developing others?
We are looking for motivated and knowledgeable Traffic Dispatchers to join the Learning & Development Team on a 6 month secondment, supporting the rollout of an exciting new modular training programme for all new Traffic Dispatchers across the business.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step away from the day-to-day operation and play a key role in shaping the future of dispatcher training. You will work closely with colleagues across the network, helping to deliver engaging training sessions, share best practice, and support new starters in building the skills and confidence needed to succeed in the role.
The position would suit individuals who:
- Have strong operational knowledge and experience within a Traffic Office environment
- Enjoy coaching, mentoring, and supporting others
- Are confident communicators and presenters
- Want to broaden their experience and further develop their career within the business
Essential Knowledge & Experience
Central System Knowledge
Candidates must have a strong understanding of dispatcher use of Central System, including:
- Customer Enquiry Screen
- Standing Orders Generation
- Standing Order Maintenance
- Conveyance Note Management
- Routing Screens
- Disposal & Disposal Ticket Entry
- Docket Management
- Disposal Reports
Traffic Office Best Practice
Good working knowledge of the following is also essential:
- BINS
- Wasted Journey Management
- OTIF – Managing Service
- CRS Log Management
- QLS
- Driver Engagement
- Net Earnings Reports / Understanding
- TC77
Other Skills & Requirements
- Confident and clear presenter / communicator
- Comfortable presenting over Microsoft Teams
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Teams & PowerPoint
- Some travel will be required
