Your role
As the Learning Business Manager for ZEISS Sales and Service Companies, you will drive the collaboration with all international legal entities as part of the Learning Business Management Team. You will provide strategic support and structure to scale our business model, globally and drive diverse global learning initiatives by optimizing processes, ensuring alignment with governance frameworks, and supporting teams that deliver training across multiple projects.

Serving as the primary contact for learning initiatives with our SSCs, globally. Building a robust international network with stakeholders, identifying current and future learning needs, and providing guidance on learning strategies

Ownership of learning projects from start to completion, including problem breakdown, solution structuring, and decision preparation aligned with strategic objectives, while balancing the needs of global SSCs and collaborating with fellow Learning Business Managers to evaluate synergies for maximum business value

Development and implementation of the international perspective of the operating model to meet the diverse needs of the global workforce

Creation of a structured assessment approach for the local status quo of learning to enable comprehensive global reporting

Gathering information about local legal, technical and learning needs to enhance the international fit of the learning portfolio, processes, services and ecosystem
This role is consulting-oriented, focused on problem analysis and conceptualizing projects, rather than directly executing learning programs. You will jump between multiple projects, providing expertise to ensure success across all initiatives.
Your profile

Educational Background: Master’s degree in Business Management, Project Management, HR, Adult Education, Organizational Development, or a related field

Relevant practical experience in a consulting role, preferably in a consultancy, in organizational development, learning, or a commercial/business-related field. Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and digital learning tools is advantageous

Strong project management experience with a proven ability to set up and manage learning initiatives within a governance framework in a global context

Experience developing strategic concepts, conducting in-depth analysis, and preparing decision-making documents for senior leadership and strong stakeholder management, communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Proven ability to optimize processes and ensure quality control in learning or organizational projects and excellent conceptualization and strategic thinking skills with a hands-on ability to drive project setup and execution

Proficient in English; additional languages, such as German, are a plus
