Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, people-first professional to join our team as a Learning and Development Specialist. This role will be responsible for building training content, supporting day-to-day training logistics, and facilitating learning experiences across the organization. This role requires strong communication skills and a genuine enthusiasm for helping people learn. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain training materials across formats (e.g., participant workbooks, job aids, e-learning modules, and video-based content)
  • Work closely with the Training Manager to receive content direction and translate it into clear, engaging, and repeatable learning experiences. 
  • Keep training materials organized, version-controlled, and always current. 
  • Support day-to-day administration of LMS, including course uploads and learner enrollment, serving as a frontline resource for access questions, troubleshooting issues, and escalating as needed.
  • Organize, plan, and present various skills training for employees through instructor-led and virtual environments.
  • Support the organization by building partnerships both internally and externally. 
  • Analyze program effectiveness using various assessments, surveys, and other forms of feedback.
  • Keep current with learning and development trends.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in instructional design, content development, and project management. 
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to effectively convey information to a variety of audiences.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
  • Ability to learn and use a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload across multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Practical experience with learning management software.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically PowerPoint. 
  • Proficiency in Articulate Storyline 360 is a plus.
  • Previous years of experience preferred.
