- Responsible for learning and development curriculum planning, implementing and executing of learning and development programs within Japan that make the best use of Abbott employee’s current and future abilities.
- Manage the overall training delivery and operations activities in Japan and ensure they are conducted efficiently, cost–effectively and in accordance with the organization’s policies and standards.
- Individual contributor with comprehensive knowledge in the events management, coordination, and management of training and development activities and tasks
- Self-starter that is able to work with limited supervision but with regional and global mindset to keep leadership informed
- Ability to execute specialized projects while meeting the organization’s needs.
- Ability to trouble-shoot issues and problem-solve while considering current training processes.
- Ability to flex depending on Japan market local needs and able to quickly support ad-hoc projects when and where needed
- Coordinate day to day logistical support to execute the delivery of training.
- Procures, organizes, maintains, prepares and provides, set-up of materials, audio visual equipment and classrooms.
- Provide customer service to organization’s employees with training registration and cancellations, course offering questions and other training related inquires.
- Maintain and updated training registration site for local classes and monitor classes and enrollments.
- Establish local course costs for open enrollment classes and intact request.
- Support other TD shared goals activities that require L&D support (key talent programs, capability, webinars, etc)
- HR experience is NOT necessary
- 3-5 years training operations or relevant experience
- 2 years of project management experience
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong service orientation skills
- operations background particularly procurement is highly welcome
- Need on a daily basis to maintain optimal operations processes
- 2 years of project management experience
- Need on a project basis to effectively manage components of a project
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint
- Use on a daily basis
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Need when setting up training classes
- Excellent organizational skills
- Stay agile and flexible to respond to changing organizational needs
- Keep multiple stakeholders informed/Answer customer inquiries
- Travel 10%
- Located in Tokyo, Mita office
- Full-Time
- Strong command in both Japanese and English (Speaking & Writing)
