Overview:

Responsible for overall management of assigned business clients of LEAF Commercial Capital Incorporated.  Directs efforts with current and prospective clients from initial interaction through the life of the relationship. Communicates decisions on pricing and rates offered to clients and the review and control of the transaction structure.        

Primary Responsibilities:

Manage a group of accounts, directly or indirectly with assigned Account Associates. Work with the external company finance personnel responsible for purchasing decision-making on accounts and assess their needs relative to equipment, vehicle and/or working capital.

Develop and finalize the pricing and approve the structure as well as the terms to offer the accounts.

Work with Risk and Operations to finalize the loan documentation and terms with each of the accounts.

Resolve issues arising with the accounts related to missing information or signatures to manage the account relationship.

Strategize with other Account Executives and management on the expansion of existing accounts, new account industries, and new accounts in those industries.

Direct daily duties of assigned Account Associates, including providing guidance and training.

Meet with clients at trade shows and client locations associated with their business to increase business opportunities.

Maintain currency of records of assigned accounts, including documenting calls and reporting.

Ensure assigned account relationships are handled with the utmost of care to contribute to account retention and expansion.

Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.  Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.

Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.

Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.

Complete other related duties as assigned.

Scope of Responsibilities:

Our inside sales office located in Orange, California provides financing to small and mid-size businesses nationwide. Our culture is energetic and supportive, our reputation is unparalleled, and we are constantly looking to expand and grow.  The jobholder works closely with business Risk, Operations, Customer Service, Collections and Asset Management as well as Marketing and other Shared Services to support the client relationship.  The position participates in the development of strategy relating to accounts to pursue and manages Account Associates assigned to accounts pursued.  This position is expected to originate $2 and $5 million annually.

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 1 years’ relevant sales experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 5 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 1 years’ relevant sales experience

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong interpersonal skills

Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent word processing, spreadsheet, and email software

Education and Experience Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Finance

Equipment leasing sales experience

Experience with pertinent sales management software

Physical Requirements:

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $30.16 - $50.26 Hourly (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
