What You'll Do

• This is a hands-on role where most of your time will be writing backend code in Node.js.
• Work with clients designing, developing, and supporting APIs and services for use by various web and mobile app clients.
• Look at the bigger picture; understand how the technology will fit within the client’s ecosystem and consider how the technology will impact people and processes.
• Mentor and guide a small team of engineers and technical consultants to efficiently write quality code at pace.
• Update the client on team progress, challenges, and risks.
• Translate user stories and functional requirements into technical designs.
• Design, build, and maintain high-quality technology solutions that deliver an exceptional customer experience.
• Boost team velocity by developing and implementing quality code in line with Acceptance Criteria and Definition Of Done.
• Assist with the identification and definition of key architectures, components and interfaces, design of data model and data/information flows.
• Estimate level of effort to complete user stories.
• Create new features or parts of applications with the end user in mind, providing the best experience.
• Partner with technology teams throughout the organization to build best-in-class CX.

What You'll Bring

• 10+ years of backend software development experience, including lead experience.
• Strong confidence writing code in Node.js.
• Experience developing software in a cloud-based environment (e.g. Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure DevOps).
• Experience leading a small team of engineers.
• Consulting experience or experience owning a client relationship.
• Maintain clean “code hygiene” and adhering to coding standards (formatting and documenting code, code merges with other engineer’s code).
• Extreme attention to detail with regards to code quality.
• Experience creating APIs.
• Experience working in the Agile methodology.
• Positive attitude and an ability to work well with clients and Experient Group team members.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and proven experience in designing complex systems solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Passion for learning and a passion for solving business problems with technology.
• Intellectually curious and communicative.
• Strong inclination to create and maintain good documentation.
• Strong, collaborative team player.
• Familiarity / experience with GIT.
• AWS experience preferred.
• MongoDB experience preferred
• Healthcare industry experience preferred
