We are seeking a proactive Leading Hand to lead a small team delivering cyclic and first response maintenance on the state highway network for the IDC contract with NZTA in the Northland region.

Day-to-day tasks may include road sign and EMP maintenance and replacements, pothole fixes, upkeep of minor barriers, detritus removal, litter, and other varied maintenance activities, providing plenty of variety in your work.
In addition to the above you will:
Monitor and work alongside your small team to ensure they are working efficiently and effectively through each maintenance job
Coordinate resources, equipment and materials for planned and reactive maintenance tasks
Inspect and assess the immediate area for safety risks and hazards to public and community
Work at pace to ensure work is completed on time, whilst complying with all safety, quality and environmental requirements
