Lead UT Probes Engineer (d/f/m)
The Lead Engineer or Scientist supports development through individual and teamwork. This level also requires the application of knowledge of materials, tools, processes, and products to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and to effect short-term and some long-term business goals. The Lead UT Probes Engineer (d/f/m) must have a fundamental understanding of their work area and basic knowledge of products/applications upstream and downstream of their work area.
As a Lead UT Probes Engineer (d/f/m) you will deliver engineering and scientific efforts related to the design of new products and services and new designs for customer projects. Delivery of projects through the design, verification, production and, if required, commercialization stages. Usually consists of a cross-disciplinary organization executing projects to support technology portfolio strategy. Coordinates closely with Discipline, Research, and Testing teams as needed.
As a Lead UT Probes Engineer (d/f/m) you will responsible for:
- Developing and optimizating of ultrasonic probes for industrial applications.
- Assessing and improving of the ultrasonic properties of ultrasonic probes.
- Selecting and combination of suitable materials for transducers and dampers.
- Developing and integrating electrical components for ultrasonic probes.
- Simulating the relevant probe properties using commercial and self-developed tools
- Carrying out tests and analyzes to ensure the performance and quality of the probes
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to implement innovative solutions.
- Documenting of development processes and creation of technical reports.
- Compliance with standards and specifications
- Defining of probe test certificates and required test systems
To be successful in your role:
- Degree in engineering, physics or a comparable subject.
- Sound knowledge of ultrasonic technology and the testing of ultrasonic properties.
- Several years of experience in the development and optimisation of probes.
- Knowledge of the selection and combination of materials for transducers and dampers.
- Experience with electrical components and their integration in ultrasonic probes.
- Analytical skills and a solution-orientated way of working.
- Ability to work in a team and good communication skills.
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
