The Role

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead UX Designer to drive the user experience strategy and execution for our complex digital ecosystem of products and solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of user-centered design, interaction design, and information architecture, with the ability to create seamless experiences across interconnected digital platforms. The ideal candidate will lead a team of designers, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure our products meet both user and business needs.
 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Lead UX Designer should possess strong system design thinking and the ability to understand the big picture, including the relationships and dependencies between products and solutions.
  • Lead Agile design approach to product development including discovery and development. 
  • Proactively contribute new UX ideas supported by user research and well-articulated rationale.
  • Design and execute generative and evaluative user research activities relevant to maturity of each project in accordance with the best User Experience practices.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, service blueprints and user journeys.
  • Independently deliver design solutions for of large scope and complexity projects.
  • Work through ambiguity and adapt your approach to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders.
  • Size and estimate UX tasks effort and assign them according to the individual designers’ capabilities, strengths, bandwidths, and timelines.
  • Conduct and participate in design reviews and feedback sessions.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND DEMONSTRATION OF SKILLS:

  • Bachelors or Masters in Human Factors, Interaction, Industrial or Product Design, Cognitive, Experimental or Behavioral Psychology, Anthropology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 10+ years’ experience in Product Design for large-scale enterprise solutions.
  • Experience designing for medical devices or other highly complex cross-platform enterprise solutions.
  • Experience with Mobile Applications / Native Apps.
  • Experience designing user interfaces for a variety of medium (desktop, touch screen, mobile, embedded software, etc.) and different platforms (Android, iOS, etc.).
  • Be able to recognize and distinguish value-add, strategic activities versus “busy work.”
  • Working knowledge Figma.
  • This position may require up to 10% yearly travel, including domestic and international.
