The Lead Total Rewards Consultant is responsible for leading the administration, analysis, and design of the company’s benefits and compensation plans and programs as assigned. This position will partner with HR Operation team members on process improvement and project management in relation to benefits and compensation initiatives. Acts as a liaison to resolve employee or vendor inquiries and refer employees to appropriate content specialists when needed.

The ideal candidate will live within driving distance of the Omaha, Nebraska office. This position allows remote flexibility but will have 1 day per week in the office.  

What you'll do:

  • Lead the organization job pricing and leveling processes, incentive plan design, benefit design and administration, etc. while partnering with leaders across all levels of the organization, as well as external vendors/partners.

  • Prepare analysis related to compensation and benefit plans (i.e. affordability, competitiveness and relevance) and make recommendations on organization strategy.

  • Lead large annual HR projects related to merit cycles, open enrollment, sales plan design, incentive program design, etc.

  • Prepare, gather and submit data for compensation and benefits surveys.

  • Administer areas of HRIS system by partnering with HR Technology team, as it relates to market pricing, benefit administration, incentive program design and administration, etc.

  • Complete testing of HRIS system for items related to current areas of focus during 2x/year release updates.

  • Gather and submit all requested documentation related to various audits and compliance reporting (non-discrimination, internal audit, 401(k), AAP, etc.).

  • In partnership with HR leadership facilitate the generation of reporting and documentation for strategic recommendations related to compensation and benefits to Executive Leadership.

  • Collaborate with leaders and HR Business Partners on compensation initiatives as it relates to business. (i.e. job evaluations, job restructuring, and reorganizations).

  • Document procedures for cross-training and recommend process improvements. Partner on various audit projects as assigned.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field

  • 5+ years progressive HR experience preferably focused on compensation and benefits assignments

  • Knowledge of governmental regulations such as ERISA, FLSA, DOL, and EEOC

  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills; ability to consult and influence at all levels

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Federal and State employment law and compliance issues, including EEO/Affirmative Action, FMLA and ADA

  • Experience with HR systems (e.g. ATC, LMS HRIS, Workday)

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement.

The ability to work well in a team environment and be capable of building and maintaining positive relationships with other staff, departments, and customers.

The strongest candidates for this position will also possess:

  • HR certification, i.e. CEBS, CCP, CBP, SPHR, or SHRM-SCP

  • Experience in the administration of compensation and benefit programs including researching and preparing analysis
