Your Role

As a Lead Test Development Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing manufacturing test solutions that ensure product quality and production readiness throughout the product lifecycle.

You will work closely with global engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program teams to design, validate, and optimize test hardware, software, and processes supporting high-volume automotive production.

How You Will ContributeIn your daily job you will:
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing test software using LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, TestStand, C++, and C.

  • Design and implement application-specific test solutions for automotive electronic products.

  • Define and analyze test coverage requirements based on product and customer specifications.

  • Support equipment development, validation, buy-offs, and production launches.

  • Perform statistical analysis, capability studies, and CPK evaluations to drive continuous improvement.

  • Develop and maintain flashing solutions for memory devices and controllers.

  • Troubleshoot manufacturing test issues and implement corrective actions.

  • Collaborate with Product Manufacturing Leads (PMLs), quality teams, and suppliers to ensure production readiness.

  • Train manufacturing personnel and support global production sites.

  • Drive improvements in test performance, reliability, and manufacturing efficiency.

  • Support post-series production activities and ongoing test optimization initiatives.

We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing test development, test engineering, or related automotive engineering roles.

  • Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities within global teams.

  • A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.

Skill Set RequirementsEssential
  • Experience developing manufacturing test solutions in the automotive industry.

  • Hands-on experience with at least one of the following:

    • NI LabVIEW

    • NI LabWindows/CVI

    • NI TestStand

    • C++

    • C

  • Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as:

    • CAN

    • LIN

    • FlexRay

    • LVDS

    • BroadR-Reach

  • Experience with electrical functional testing and production test systems.

  • Familiarity with statistical methods, capability analysis, and process improvement techniques.

  • Experience working with cross-functional and global engineering teams.

Desirable
  • Experience with memory programming and flashing technologies.

  • Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Experience supporting supplier equipment buy-offs and manufacturing launches.

  • Understanding of manufacturing process validation and quality systems.

  • Exposure to high-volume automotive manufacturing environments.
