Technology Solutions Delivery

1.     To manage deliveries of all Technology services across Sime Darby Industrial Sdn Bhd.

2.     To drive Digital & Technology Strategy across to all entities within Sime Darby Industrial Sdn Bhd.

3.     To ensure Technology Initiatives are delivered effectively, and outcomes meet cost, quality, and time frame.

4.     To work closely with the Business in ensuring all Values, key improvements opportunities are captured in accordance with the Technology Framework.

6.     To work with all possible Resources to ensure deliverables are met in accordance with priority, and timelines.

7.     To identify challenges, opportunities, and deliver solutions that addresses matters related to adoption and benefit realisation.

 

IT Operations

1.     To manage process for communicating outage/emergency activities to the organization.

2.     To be responsible for identifying, managing and executing all Cybersecurity related initiatives, incidents, working with Divisional and Group Cybersecurity Head.

3.     To identify system enhancements to existing systems or new development through users’ feedback in order to improve users’ efficiency and effectiveness in conducting their business operations.

4.     To propose, develop and enhance IT processes, such as the Incident Management and Change Management processes for SDI IT Malaysia in accordance to the ITIL Framework.

5.     To be the process owner for Incident and Change Management

6.     To conduct site visits, user training, awareness for any IT related initiatives and activities.

7.      To be responsible in chairing monthly Service Review Meeting with all the IT Services vendor in ensuring deliverables, Service Level Agreement are met.

8.      To propose and drive IT related improvement plans with business users and vendors to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the business.

9.     To be responsible in reporting identified IT risks and the mitigations/ action plans to SD Group.

10.  To be responsible for IT Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery Planning in the event of crisis or interruptions.

11.  Prepare and provide reports to Manager – IT (Operations) and the divisional IT Management as and when required.

12.  To be accountable for all IT Support matters – IT Service Desk, Critical Situation Management, IT Shared Services and performance management

13.  To be accountable for IT Security Service Management

14.  To be accountable for IT Infrastructure and computing facilities


IT Commercial & Contract Management

1.     To manage vendor relationships as a strategic IT partner in ensuring cost effective and high-performance IT services.

2.     To manage IT budgets and yearly MPLAN exercise

3.      To evaluate, propose and manage IT commercial activities and contracts based on the business needs.

4.      To propose, manage and deliver cost savings initiatives to drive the business to a leaner way of working.

5.     To manage IT Services contracts.

6.     To be the responsible and owner for Vendor Performance Evaluation for IT ensuring vendor’s cost/performance in their deliveries.

7.     To be responsible and the key process owner for all IT commercial activities that requires the Tender process.

8.     To manage all IT requirements fulfilment from the business and operations and be responsible for evaluating internal IT capabilities to determine need for vendor involvements or partnership.

 





To prepare, manage and monitor IT Projects from various stakeholders within the Industrial division and Sime Darby Group.

1.     To define and delegate work to be done with adequate resources and progress measurements

2.     To coordinate and ensure team members have clear, current and measurable goals and objectives

3.     To monitor performance, and communicate to the team and propose improvement opportunities identified

4.     To identify feedback and initiatives that are solicited from team and users, feasibility pursued and outcomes then communicated back to team members (go or no-go)

5.     To provide assistance to business stakeholders to conduct options analysis and develop business cases

6.     To establish project schedules and work break down structures within the IT master schedule, including clear and accurate identification of project dependencies

7.     To establish and implement project controls and workflows

8.     To manage vendors and contractors in IT Projects

9.     To identify and provide day to day management of the commercial, risk, and issue function for the project

10.  To lead, manage and motivate the project team members and assignees to achieve projects goals and objectives

11.  To establish and drive project decisions based on business needs, leading team meetings, and driving problems to resolution quickly.

12.  To liaise with the divisional IT team, and Sime Darby GHO IT to execute and deliver Group or Divisional wide projects and initiatives.



Enterprise Architecture


1.     To apply the domain knowledge, and all information gathered on these use cases: Application Portfolio Assessment, Application Rationalisation, Obsolescence Risk Management, Application Modernization, and ERP Transformation

2.     Evaluate technology strategy, organization, business applications, and infrastructure.

3.     Advise on enterprise architecture landscape, including technology, information, data, security, and integration

4.     Implement large-scale, innovative IT solutions to drive business transformation.

5.     Evaluate and identify IT-related risks.

6.     Develop technology strategy and planning deliverables to address IT risks and improve the effectiveness of the IT organization, especially in business application integration.

7.     Produce target-state solution architecture, and perform assessments and gap analysis.

8.     Help formulate the overall solution strategies and roadmaps.

9.     Consult to Architecture Review Board (ARB)

Skills Required

  • Experience in managing IT operations and digital transformation projects
  • Strong understanding of Agile and ITIL frameworks
  • Cybersecurity management experience
  • Experience in vendor management and contract negotiations
  • Experience in enterprise architecture and application modernization
